Science E-Learning Receives CME Category 1 Accreditation From
the California Medical Association
GeneEd's
catalog and custom scientific e-Learning has been certified by
the CMA for Category I accreditation, allowing physicians, nurses,
and other healthcare professionals to receive full CME credits
for completing GeneEd life science e-Learning courses.
San Francisco,
CA, October 1, 2002—GeneEd, Inc., the leading provider of
advanced e-Learning solutions for the life science industry, today
announced that it has received Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Category 1 accreditation from the California Medical Association.
This accreditation allows physicians, nurses, and other healthcare
professionals to receive full CME credits for completing any of
GeneEd’s catalog and custom scientific e-learning courses.
The Medical
Board of California requires licensed physicians to complete at
least 25 hours of approved Category 1 or other acceptable CME

every four years. Nurses and other healthcare professionals are
also subject to rigorous CME and other continuing education requirements
by their individual governing boards.
"GeneEd
is honored to have had its scientific e-Learning assessed via
the California Medical Association's rigorous CME accreditation
process and to earn the CMA's highest level of accreditation,”
said Dr. Salil Patel, one of GeneEd’s founders. "This
CME Category 1 accreditation from the CMA is a testament to GeneEd's
scientific and medical expertise and to GeneEd's unique ability
to educate life science and healthcare industry personnel in complex
scientific subject areas."
